OUR OPINION
This is a magical location for both a small intimate setting or a large wedding. The estates gardens are filled with lavander, roses, rosemary and olive trees which offers a beautiful view and sense of the tuscan coutryside.
We held our daughter's wedding here at the Castle in September 2010. We were lucky enough to take the whole place over for two days and cannot praise the owner Aurora highly enough for all the effort, style and organisational skills that she brought to an event. We were lucky with the weather and our guests were able to enjoy the extraordinary views in the afternoon before the sun set. We provided the wines but Aurora's chefs did a great job cooking magnificent canapes and a delicious wedding meal of pheasant tortelli, young roast lamb and the bride's choice, a wedding cake of large and small fruit crostata. The meals we ate over and above the wedding feast were memorable, from the pasta ragu to the cherry tomato salad to the beautifully presented bresaola. It was all perfect. My only criticism is that the service was not always 100% attentive but it could be that the demands of a full house, a somewhat stressed hostess such as myself and over 100 wedding guests stretched the staff a bit too much.
Also the location is very much off the beaten track so guiding a lagre number of guests to it is no mean feat. Still, I would recommend it as a wedding venue if your guests are adventurous and happy to mooch around downtown Paganico for an afternnon or two. There are also good opportunites to do some wine tasting nearby in the lovely hilltop villages of Montalcino and Montepulciano. This castle is indeed a magical hideaway!"

"This is a very late review as myself and my now husband married and honeymooned here. We stopped in Sassi which had the most wonderful views of the Tuscan countryside. We cannot thank Aurora and Carlo enough for helping us make our wedding magical.

The food is out of this world and the Carlo's wine is to die for - we liked so much we took a case home.
Nothing can prepare you for sight of the castle as you come round the corner. it is truly spectacular and the room (we had a sneaky peek of them) have been decorated with such thought and care. Cannot wait to go back there some day only next time we can take our baby boy to show him where mummy and daddy got married. Oh - and if you get the chance definately try out the spa."
