As we are getting closer to Christmas I couldn’t think of a better post than sharing the beautiful story of Johnny and Maggie, an american couple who decided to elope in Florence and spend the entire holiday season enjoying the beauty of Italy together…. just the two of them. There is just something so romantic about a couple celebrating their love for each other completely and utterly by themselves. These are the weddings I truly enjoy to be a part of. This is the wedding story of an adorable couple from Oregon…..
Since Johnny never made a trip to Italy and Maggie has Italian heritage, they thought an elopement and honeymoon in Italy make for an unforgettable trip. I think they made an excellent decision!
Florence’s town hall is Palazzo Vecchio and it is located in the spectacular Piazza della Signoria. Palazzo Vecchio is available to celebrate weddings all year round. Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall, Florence never disappoints….
Entrance of Palazzo Vecchio. This is a replica of the Statue of David.
And “here comes the bride”….they enter in the beautiful “Sala Rossa” or Red Room inside the Palazzo Vecchio.
And they are officially united in Matrimony!!
Florence is an unbelievably beautiful city to begin with….during the holiday season it is even more special. From the christmas tree inside the Palazzo Vecchio and the Duomo, the view from the arno to the simplicity of a bicycle standing on a wall…..the photo opportunities are truly endless (and Maggie & Johnny are pretty special too!!!)
And I certainly cannot forget the details…
Something borrowed and something blue….This belonged to Maggie’s “nonna”.
Congratulations to Maggie & Johnny!
I would like to thank Megan from Bella Vita Italy for organising their honeymoon in Italy and Lelia Scarfiotti for her wonderful photography.
Tuscania Events wishes you all the happiest of holidays!!!!
